The closest train station to DFTDC is Birchington-on-Sea; there is an hourly fast service interspersed with a semi-fast service on the half hour. These trains run to/from London Victoria.

Station Facilities Internet suite and Multi-gym The station has an Internet suite which run by ARAMARK and is open 24 hrs a day. A small charge is payable when using this facility.
	There is a well equipped Multi gym with free weights, automated exercise machines a sauna and a solarium. This facility is open to all military, DFS and civilian personnel. The facility is open 24 hrs a day, keys can be drawn from the MGR on the presentation of a valid gym pass.
