DFTDC is unique in having its own integral CFBT training facility.
This facility comprises of 4 separate Demonstrator (Demo) or Attack (Attk) cans.
These cans are multi functional and can be configured for either demo or attk. They are also independent of each other and can be used concurrently.
All Demo/attk cans are electronically configured to enable temperature downloads for training and monitoring purposes. This system utilises thermo couple probes and is a HSE requirement.
This facility also incorporates a Backdraft demonstrator (Window can). This is used to demonstrate the signs & symptoms of backdrafts.
All DFTDC CFBT units currently use OSB 3 Stirling board for their fire loading.
