DFTDC has a large purpose built burning area. This area comprises of different fire simulation scenarios and large open spaces allowing fire related training to be developed and conducted.
The burning area incorporates a 2 stage fuel separator system that recycles all the waste residue used on the burning ground through a filtration unit, this process will  either divert unused  fuel back into our fuel storage system to be used again(Reclaimed Fuel) or clean waste water back into the water system.
This system is constantly monitored and complies with all EA guidelines.
